I love racing… cars, bikes, boats, whatever! But I particularly enjoy participating in the races as a volunteer safety marshal. A hobby I picked up while living in Singapore in 2011. Motorsport volunteering added purpose to my travel because now instead of booking a trip to anywhere because the flight was cheap, I have a reason to hunt for a deal to a destination where I can participate in a professional event enjoying cars I love to watch in action getting pushed to their limits and beyond.
Motorsport perfectly married my love for Travel and Cars hobbies and created something new that I love to preach to others about. I really enjoyed sharing my stories and pictures from the various events I volunteered to encourage others to participate. And have gotten plenty of positive (and negative) feedback about it. I cannot wait to resume volunteering once the pandemic subsides.
